
Profile
My mission has been the introduction of ecological design and planning into the mainstream and is founded on years of practice in a wide variety of situations, landscapes, climates and uses of land for public and private amenities on a scale ranging from the residential gaden to a village or town.
My experience derives from work over many years in England, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Greece and Portugal.
My clients have included national regional and local goverments, landowners, developers, schools, colleges and universities, farms and estates as well as private companies and many individual people.
My designs have incorporated my specialisms of eco-building, bio-engineering, renewable enegy systems, water harvesting, water treatments, organic food production, natural swimming pools, wildlife and nature conservation.
Author
Michael is the author of over a dozen publications, covering landscape design, landscape construction, ecological design, landscape management and organic gardening. Specific titles include “Natural Swimming Pools” The Organic Gardener’s Handbook”, and “Landscape Detailing”.
Lecturer
I have extensive teaching experience at universities and colleges in this country and abroad. I also undertake lectures to various organisations and associations mainly on sustainable topics.
