Converting your conventional swimming pool to a natural swimming pool can easily be undertaken with a minimum of cost and disturbance.
All you need is sufficient space around the pool for the aquatic plant zone, either immediately adjoining or nearby so that a separate plant regeneration pool can be built as an attractive and worthwhile feature for your garden. If the existing conventional pool is large enough (min 50 square metres), then this can be sub-divided to create the plant regeneration pool.
A large part of the construction of any pool such as the excavation, the walls, etc has already been done and in certain situations existing paving slabs surrounding the pool that have to be removed can be re-used. This saves considerable time and money and at the same time conserves valuable resources that will help the environment.
